It All Started With Design For Manufacturing
On May 6th, 2002, proNet met with a Marketing Manager and R & D Engineer of a large dental device company. The company needed to launch an improved product into the market. After reviewing the design, proNet provided Design-For-Manufacturing (DFM) input to minimize potential issues and control costs. proNet was awarded the production contract a few months later. Today, proNet provides multiple components and assemblies to the same customer, and it all starts with DFM principles.
Our Story started by supporting engineers with a Design-For-Manufacturing experience and finding the ideal source for their projects. Over the years, we have continued to grow our skillset in procurement and manufacturing. We decided to handle key manufacturing operations internally. Recognizing the importance of becoming proficient in various manufacturing processes, we understood the necessity of getting hands-on experience. Today we house multiple types of manufacturing activities, giving us a solid foundation to work more effectively with our customers and our local and overseas manufacturing partners. In 2023, proNet was acquired by Desco Industries Inc (DII). DII provides a structure that will allow proNet to continue to service customers as proNet has since its inception.
